Yesterday I test drove a 2022 F250 with the tremor package I was thinking about buying. At the end of the test drive I turned the wheel full lock to park. At full lock I heard a lot of noise that I thought was grinding metal. Further investigation found the front passenger side brake line bracket broke from the frame and was just hanging there flapping around. The bracket was holding the break line and a vacuum line in place so it wouldn't be flapping around like that . At full lock the tire caught it and was kicking it against the frame.
This is very dangerous as much more action like that and I'm sure the brake line is going to break and leak everything out.
So how did that bracket break? It wasn't plastic. The truck had a ready lift leveling kit on it. Just that 2" front lift put the brake lines in a bind at that bracket. The drivers side bracket was still fine but the brake line was pulled tight against it.
I walked away from that mess. Lesson here is if you lift your truck, make sure you aren't stressing out other items like that. If you have an f250 with a leveling kit on it. I'd check those brake lines. They sell extensions for the brake and vacuum lines for this very reason.
