I found a Subaru I like at Dallas Lease Returns. It looks like the mirror had some issue as there's a metal piece sticking out of it. When I pointed it out to the sales guy, he was dismissive - "Yeah, looks like maybe someone hit it. But it's a used car, it's not going to be perfect." Dude… anyway, that gives me pause about whatever else might be wrong with the car. It just so happens to have all the specs I want, otherwise I'd wait and buy from what feels like a more trustworthy source.
Is it tacky to drive it to the Subaru dealership and ask them to do an in depth inspection of the car? I'd pay, of course.
