GMC 1500 AT4 Diesel vs F150 Power boost

Currently in a 19 F150 Ecoboost, it's leveled with 34" tires and I get about 14 MPG, I think I would like to try to grab a new truck by year end but I'm stuck in thought a bit.

My priorities are:
6.5' bed length
Fuel Efficiency
Large tech screen
Moonroof

I've got a deal on a AT4 with rebates puts me about 11% under MSRP, Chat GPT tells me this is a good deal, however they have the new redesign coming out in about 10 months that should have the larger tech screen and maybe full moon roof as opposed to just over the front seats. The diesel fuel economy is stated 22-24 however a lot of members report much higher.

For a long bed F150 I would need to head out of town to find a Lariat or Platinum Power boost. Ford has the full panel moon roof, larger screen, however I see a lot of reports of fuel economy not hitting their ~23mpg claims. If I were to give it the stance of the AT4 (Level and larger tires) I see reports of 4-6 mpg loss.

Where are my views wrong here and given my priorities should one of these trucks stand out more than the other? I feel Ford for everything except fuel economy, but does the power boost fuel economy really underperform to that level?

Diesel if you drive more medium to long distance's and Powerboost if you are like me and have a bunch of 1-2 mile trips.

I have a 23 PB with 23k miles on it so far. Average around 21mpg. Which is a 7mpg improvement over my 2013 eco boost.

Also If you are going to lift it and put big tires on it I wouldn't bother. Good truck though. My buddy is happy with his diesel at4. Even after it grenaded on the way home from the dealership and they had to replace the engine with less than 100 miles on it.

Go sit in one first. I can't stand the seats that GM is putting in these days

Ditto. I hated mine. Legs would go numb after an hour of driving.

I have the 6.5ft power boost Fx4 lariat. It's been very reliable so far. 81K miles. I get 21 mpg with mixed driving. If you could truly average 55-65mph you can easily get 25mpg. But with Texas interstate speeds at 75mph you know I can't go that slow, so I get 21mpg. If you're going to lift or level it, throw all these numbers out the window.

I also use the on board 7.2kw inverter to power my house when power goes out. It powers 1 A/C, two fridges, a deep freezer, and a few outlets. Has been a life saver to be honest. Just had to add a transfer switch by the breaker and a soft starter to the A/C.

My buddy is on his 3rd AT4 3.0L diesel. The first two were a pain in the ass and he returned them back to the dealer due to electrical / sensor issues that were never ending. His 3rd one has been flawless so far and he's had it a full year now. If you get a flawless one your fine. Just prepared you could get a lemon as well.

I would say if you do way more HWY or towing get the 3.0L diesel. If you do more 50/50 or more city/rush hour get the Powerboost.

This is just my opinion, but the F150 is way more comfortable to drive, and especially long distances. It's more noticeable if you are a bigger guy. If your a 5'10 185lbs I don't think you notice difference either way. If your 6'3" 240lbs I think you'll enjoy the F150 better from a comfort standpoint. Again just my opinion.

Also just opinion. The AT4 looks way better than the F150. If that matters to you. I just don't tow or highway enough for the 3.0L to make sense.

27 model what's? Wife is due a new suburban and I'd be pissed to get her a 26 if the 27s were new body styles. We drive them for 8-9 years so can wait an extra 6 months if needed.

For what it's worth, I sat in a GMC At4 and a Ford Platinum, Ford had way more technology and the seats were not even close with Ford being significantly superior.
