Ready for my hat or badge for the club!

Settled on a 22 luxury in white with around 27k miles. They still have to finish certification on it so picking up Monday evening or Tuesday.

"Upgrade" might not be the word I'd choose...

MDX.

Better gas mileage and no V-Valley coolant leak to deal with. And IIRC, better storage volume with back seats down.

EDIT: NM, I see you already got one. Still surprised the GX is so much more popular than the MDX which has some much more room in the 3rd row. Pilot as well.

One is a truck. The other is a minivan.

Those vehicles aren't in the same class as the GX. I'll admit I love the MDX and considered cross shopping it, but I ultimately wanted the truck layout and feel of the GX.

One thing that has really surprised me is how incredible the KDSS system is and how planted this vehicle is in corners. For a truck so tall, it experiences VERY little body roll when cornering.

The MDX was actually the first option I drove. I liked both the regular 6 and the type s. I was really surprised and put off that even at the top trim level there was not a touch screen. Admittedly, did not play with the cursor thing much and I'm sure one would get used to it. Also a little turned off that to get the nice seats and the some other stuff you HAD to get the top trim. They also seemed to be one of the lowest on resale value.. Not sure if it was just those things or the dealer I drove one at or some past less than awesome experiences with Honda, but I never really went back to them after that initial drive.

Definitely, a completely different vehicle than the GX and I recognize the hypocriticalness of ending up with the technology challenged GX..

After taking the GX on a trip and driving it around for my Realtor and Inspector work for a week, I have zero regrets. Took a few days to get past my sports sedan habits, but the GX makes it pretty easy.
