Does anyone know if this EZTAG tag is correctly placed to work properly.?

I believe you're covered...

" In Texas, EZ TAGs (and TxTAGs) should be placed on the inside of the windshield, typically behind the rearview mirror. The recommended placement is about 4 inches down from the top of the windshield and 2 inches to the right, or 2 inches from the tinted spot. The side of the tag with the barcode and other vehicle information should face inward, allowing it to be read by the toll system."

The "computer" box occupies the 4" x 2" spot. I am trying to figure out if I should place it against the right side of the box and 4" down or against the bottom of the box and 2" to the right. Any idea?

I think it will pretty much work anywhere. Mine hasn't been stuck to the window for 2 years. I just hold it up tight and it has never missed. I've even half heartedly done it in the middle of the window.

You're over thinking it IME. Two of my cars don't even have EZ tags (or front plates) and with the exception of some toll plazas in Austin all get billed to my NTTA account with no issue based off the rear plate.

Have mine in a similar spot - they never fail to take my money

Lucky you. Spent hours on the phone with Central Texas Mobility on Friday. Ever since TxTag merged with Harris County the tolls in Austin don't pick up my tag. Instead it takes a picture of your license plate and automatically sends you a bill in the mail. So much for having it on auto pay, had to pay everything out of pocket.

I haven't really had any issues since I made the switch to NTTA tags. Their website/system is easier to use than HCTRA's IMO, and they're free unlike HCTRA. Still work on every toll road in Texas

I don't recall getting a bill by mail in the Houston area on cars with no tag. It's some weird long time Austin toll-road issue, but it seems to have gotten a little better in the last year or two.

It's fine. I have it like that on my Land Cruiser which is similar. I'd move it up if it is in your line of sight so you don't even see it as a driver. Just don't place it on the frit (black dots).

NTTA tags also work on Colorado's toll roads. They're universal and the easiest to deal with.

Tolltag. Works fine tucked away up there.

The windshield on my jeep is so small, and I didn't like having it in the middle of the upper windshield. I put mine right by my registration sticker on the bottom left and it seems to work just fine.
