how easy/hard is it?

if you dont recommend doing it yourself, any recs in the San Antonio area, even New Braunfels

I did on my Tahoe using Chemical Guys prescribed process + materials. Didn't help that I did it on a huge car, but it's some work that was gratifying for me. I maintain now with the HydroSlick product and it's held up really well for 2+ years.

Yes, I've done it. Used both Geyon Mohs Evo plus Skin and Pan the Organizer 8 year coating. Prefer Pans. If you're a do it yourselfer you'll be fine.

I priced out paying someone and for a mid sized sub it would've been $1400. The coating is anywhere from $50-$150 and I had all other supplies.

I did my new Audi last Feb with Crystal Serum Light.

~$80, plus a little more for good shop towels.

Took a couple of hours -- about the same as a quality wax job. Not much more difficult. My car was new so the prep was easier. Otherwise, you want a thorough detail and clay bar, and then use the ceramic.

Still beads water extremely well, and looks great.

I've done a few. Geyon Can Coat was the easiest by far

I used Gyeon MOHS EVO and it took less than an hour on a relatively new car. Much easier than an old school wax. Even if I were to clay bar it, you're still not going to have a tough time. I bought the marine version and did my 25' boat hull even less time because the surfaces are flatter

Adding to this thread. I used Gyeon tire cleaner a few months ago and was quite impressed.

Doing some poking around on here and watching Project Farm, I decided to try the gyeon Evo Pure.

My raptor, bronco and super duty are all professionally coated with System X pro Max.

Today is my daily driven lightning with 78K miles. This truck racks 35-40K a year and is parked in covered parking half the time. C this truck is washed regularly but is worked pretty hard and in a lot of dirty and dusty environments.

This truck was clayed and waxed 3 mos ago so this time I just washed and used 3D products surface prep spray.


Application was super easy. Removal was not fun, but I figured out that using new microfiber towels made it easy. I pretty much figured that a towel lasts a panel before running out of note to remove the coating.

The results are stunning for doing no paint correction or iron removal etc. The shine is supposed to cure and have a "hard candy" shine after it's fully cured. One of the characteristics is this is not a slick surface like you see on most coatings, but I heard the water beading is supposed to be excellent.

We shall see how long it lasts. Gyeon says 36 mos but I think that's for garage queens. Most detailing forums say 18 mos.



Would do this again.
