My wife has a lifted Jeep Wrangler JK (4" lift on 38's) and won't fit on my mechanic's rack. Told me I need a shop that does commercial trucks? In a perfect world I would like to find a shop that specializes in lifted off-road Jeeps or Trucks that also does front suspension and steering work. She daily's the Jeep in addition to our wheeling and rock crawling trips so would like it to be as solid on the road as possible.

Any recs for shops preferably Katy or West Houston ? TIA

What issues are you having? All alignment work on a jeep wrangler can be accomplished at home on Jack stands.

When the old man sold it, it really went downhill.

May have to resort to that if I can't find another option. I have watched the videos but not sure I grasp it all. Do I need to purchase the jigs?

Elevation Jeeps at Barker Cypress and 10 is where I had my Jeep worked on. I think he took the jeep somewhere for an alignment though. He may be able to do alignments now that they've expanded the shop. If not they can tell you where to go.

I've been trying to answer for 2 days. But, pesky old work keeps getting in the way.

Toe alignment tool is definitely helpful. It's not necessary. But, it sure makes it easier to measure. using the tie rod, set toe to 1/8" in.

Cheap magnetic angle finder to measure pinion and caster angles. I'm not sure on your suspension set up.

But, in order of importance, adjustable Lower Front control arms and adjustable rear upper control arms. Lower fronts correct caster. rear uppers fix rear pinion. rear lowers and front uppers are nice to have to realign the wheels in the wheel well. but, not absolutely necessary.

Adjustable trackbars front and rear. measure from the frame to a point on the tire. (i use outer edge). if one side is 12.5 inches and the other is 11.5 inches, then adjust the track bar .5 inch.

if you give more information about your setup, i can answer some more.

big deal is to get a paint pen. torque your suspension and steering parts to specs and mark them. that way you can easily see if the things have come out of spec.

I've use NLine on Ella for my leveled Tundra and a car buddy that always has 4x4 lifted trucks recommended them. I believe they specialize in lifted cars.

Call Javiers Crawl Shop. north of I10 inside beltway. We did our lift there, but just a 2 inch lift. They can do it or give you a recommendation. Used elevation Jeep in Katy as well. Both good guys.
