I've googled and it says coil pack or injector. I'm getting the engine code for random cylinder misfire. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Engine has 190K and top end was rebuilt a couple of years ago due to lifter failure damaging the cam shaft.

Could have coolant accumulating in a cylinder overnight.

Which would be head gasket issue, correct?

Yeah that, or even a crack in a cylinder wall water jacket.

Small cracks tend to seal up when the metal gets hot, and expands when it sits overnight allowing water to seep through.

Cylinders 4 and 8 were misfiring. Changed the coil packs which were original. 190+K. Scanned after install and no misfire detected. Sat for 24 hrs. Next cold start it missed for maybe 15 seconds then normal. Cold start today and it was normal.
