I noticed something unusual with my F-150 today. The right rear taillight assembly has a blinker light that remains illuminated as a solid light, rather than blinking. Essentially, it functions like a running light. This issue persists even when the vehicle is turned off. Whenever I open one of the doors, the taillights activate, and the blinker lights up solidly, staying on until all the lights eventually turn off.

Has anyone else experienced this? I did go through a car wash today and noticed this specific taillight assembly seemed to be a little fogged over like moisture might have gotten inside of it.

Are those led?

Check how much moisture is in there. Also check your passenger floor under the carpet for water. This is where the BCM is.

Find the relay)s) for the light(s), and give it/them a tap with the end of a screwdriver or something. Not too hard... just a tap to "encourage" the relay.

Passenger floorboard seems dry, but there's definitely some lingering moisture in the tail light.

Gotta love modern cars!

I had to replace the LCM on a 25yr old BMW because one of the marker lights wouldn't turn on. Makes you wonder how disposable today's cars are going to be - especially for enthusiast versions

My E66 parking brake stopped working because the plastic in the parking brake motor crumbled. Dealership wanted 2300 and failed inspection. Thank goodness someone on the aftermarket had a rebuilding service for a fraction of the cost.
