We would probably all prefer that but I doubt exotic super car is in most of our midlife crisis budgets. I mean, I can afford it but I doubt the rest of you lolpoors can.
I've thought about a 911, but if I buy a car, it will be my only vehicle. I don't think a Porsche is the ideal vehicle in which to transport my 100 pound dog.
I'll stick with my second Raptor. I have thought about a Raptor R, but don't want to pay an ADM for one. Also, I think all of the colors have sucked for Raptors for most of Gen3.

4 teen boys in private school - I can't afford a midlife crisis.
Honda Shadow by 40 - might go with something smaller so I can haul it out of the city for scenic rides.

I had a 97 anniversary edition MK IV with a manual transmission that I loved. Had to sell it when my son was born and the car carrier didn't have enough room in the backseat to allow the front seat to lock in place. I actually removed the front passenger seat for several months. LOL

I turned 40 in the covid lockdown and decided to get a Corvette, but my wife convinced me that Corvette drivers are not who I aspire to be.
Then pivoted to a 911 and started looking daily to BaT, CarsAndBids, Rennlist, etc....but got sidetracked until finding a 455 hp 5 person hauling, costco trip taking, awd, 3.5 second 0-60 car under $100K (RS6 or E63 AMG wagon were #1 & #1a).
I'll still get a 911....

I drove the absolute dogS out of that car making sales calls between Calabasas to San Diego and out to the IE.
Drove it up The 5 to Pleasanton once and drove it to Vegas once. Hit 132 mph on The 15 headed towards Primm, Nevada with one of my good HS buddies in the passenger seat. The car had plenty more to give but I had already caught up to the traffic that was miles ahead when I started.
That's almost 20 years ago now.

Have you considered a Cayenne Turbo GT? PDCC+PTV makes for a pretty amazing SUV in corners and it's plenty big for a dog and all their stuff.EMY92 said:

3 second 0-60, locking rear diffs, air suspension for decent ground clearance, easy to tune to nearly 800hp.
I have some custom cargo covers in mine that really helps keep the dog hair off the carpets.
An old square body. I spend a lot of time working on it. Will probably get a new crate motor this year.
Burns and leaks a quart of oil every couple of weeks. Transmission needs a rebuild as well.

I'm not looking for a vehicle that starts at over 200k.
Another that scares me after driving Raptors for 7 years is that I ignore potholes and speed bumps, curbs, and most other obstacles. Not sure how I would adjust to a vehicle with low profile tires. I'd hate to have to replace one of those rims.

Similar journey, though may end up with blue on white.
I suppose my first crisis car was the 05 E55 I picked up in '19 at 45.
