Had a e60 550i at 35. Was a blast for a good 4 years. Next up is a '71 karman ghia for me and a '93 golf cabriolet for the wife.
I prefer the GT3 RS, especially if you are going to track it. My local dealer has this one for sale w/ MSRP of $320K.JSKolache said:

I'm 44 and about to get another fun car. Have a Land Cruiser but want something speedy. Probably a 911.
Not a mid life crisis car. No crisis here. Just want to reap some rewards of working hard before I'm 65.

Update. Wife's X5 was t-boned today, so my 911 money will likely be headed toward replacing that with something satisfactory.
Have you considered a Cayenne Turbo GT? PDCC+PTV makes for a pretty amazing SUV in corners and it's plenty big for a dog and all their stuff.EMY92 said:
I've thought about a 911, but if I buy a car, it will be my only vehicle. I don't think a Porsche is the ideal vehicle in which to transport my 100 pound dog.
I'll stick with my second Raptor. I have thought about a Raptor R, but don't want to pay an ADM for one. Also, I think all of the colors have sucked for Raptors for most of Gen3.

I turned 40 in the covid lockdown and decided to get a Corvette, but my wife convinced me that Corvette drivers are not who I aspire to be.
Then pivoted to a 911 and started looking daily to BaT, CarsAndBids, Rennlist, etc....but got sidetracked until finding a 455 hp 5 person hauling, costco trip taking, awd, 3.5 second 0-60 car under $100K (RS6 or E63 AMG wagon were #1 & #1a).
I'll still get a 911....
Very nice. Good Aggie car.1agswitchin4lanes said:

What's the deal with people in Phoenix and LA referring to freeways as "The (insert number)"? Everywhere else I've been, people just say "I-10", or "35 North", or "290". We wouldn't say "the 101" for example.

What year? I had a 98 cobra I loved but totaled. Would love to get another at some point.
Do you want to get into a pissing match with me about that? You're painting with a pretty broad brush there. Try me.maroon barchetta said:Buck Turgidson said:

It's California and redneck white trash California. What do you expect?
