Noticed the other day the upper track for the sliding rear window on my 2016 F150 had come loose. It's a plastic channel that runs the length of the rear window. Appears it is held in place with adhesive and some double faced tape.

Tried to reattach it with some 3M trim tape from O Reillys - it held for a day.
I'm going to see if I can find some 3M adhesive for plastic/glass..

Anyone have any other suggestions?
Maybe take it to a body shop?
Glass shop?

I took mine to a glass shop. They have the good adhesive. Been over a year since fixed and no problems.

A glass shop fixed mine for $65, you'd spend more than that on the proper primer & adhesive to fix yourself

Just dropped mine off at ACME glass in CS. 40 bucks.

Thanks for the follow up.
I found some wider/thicker 3M tape and applied it across the entire track. Using the front seats I pinned the channel against the glass with a pair of 2x2's overnight. It seems to be holding.

If it fails again I'll run by a glass shop like y'all recommend - Thx SW '86
