I'll always remember the last "I was scammed by a Keating dealership" thread where you implored anyone on the board to reach out to you if they were buying a car. But I 100% believe it wasn't so you could get them a "deal" it was so you could give the salesman the heads up to not scam them and have to hear about it on this board. LOL!

I purchased a car from a Keating dealership and the finance guy tried to cheat me by changing the agreed interest rate. I caught it because I knew the reputation of the Keating Auto Group from this board and had an amortization calculator up on my phone so I could double check their math.

Ben Keating is a crook.

It is well beneath MotorTrend to have this guy on.

Yeah, the reputation is well deserved. Slimy organization that tries to cheat people at every turn.

I'm gonna wholeheartedly, and emphatically, disagree with you on this one. I met FLATOUT before I started A&M, but he helped me find out the status of my application before I got accepted. I was transitioning from the Navy, and he served as a resource to veterans attending or trying to attend A&M. He's been nothing but helpful to me.

I've never done business with him, but for you to come on here and say it's sad that he is a representative of our university because he's shown support to someone you don't like…well, it's bull***** Merry Christmas.

I have never bought from Keating, and based on what I have seen here, I never will.

Maybe his boss told him to post this video and white knight for him. Whatever. Go back to Cars and Coffee and brag to people about the cars you bought by your employees scamming old people and single moms and anyone else they can on the deals they got at your workplace.

We bought from Gunn and then McCombs after reading here over the years about all the massive problems people have had with Keating.

I've been on this forum for over a decade, I'm not going anywhere. I remember when this forum actually had something to offer people. It offers very little anymore.

And no I didn't expect anyone to watch it, you might have actually realized that the Internet is full of ***** Pretty hard to watch that interview and continue to think BK is some kind of monster.

I have a bunch of great Aggie customers that come through my store that talk about how ridiculous this forum has become.

I posted this thread/video to highlight how irrational this place is these days.

Have a friend who is a mp for him so i already knew some of the story
Auto sales will always be a sleazy business no matter what you say
Majority of people are really out of touch on what true margin per unit is after operating cost
They are also unaware what a dealer or even a mp nets on a bad month
50,000 apex's sold a year is a nice profit
The monopoly strategy seems to work but the questionable business ethics are a concern
