I recently purchased a used 4runner with Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I am disappointed with their performance in wet conditions and am looking for alternative aggressive looking AT tires. But, I have never had this type of tire before, so I dont know what I should expect for wet traction. I am used to Michelin Defenders which have never let me down in the rain. Is something like a Wildpeak AT3W going to be a big improvement over the Nittos, or is it a marginal improvement? If it is marginal, I dont think I want to spend the money as the Nittos have a lot of tread left.

My Yokohama XATs were excellent in wet conditions.

What size do you need. I recently inherited a rig with brand new Toyo Open Country A/T…they have less than 2000 miles. I may get a different set of tires for my restoration. They are 295/75/16. These are on a 1997 Land Cruiser

I'll make you a great deal

295's are too big. Stock size is 265/70 r17, but the truck currently has 275/70 r17. If I replace the tires I will probably go back to stock.
