So we've never sold a car private party before, and looking for advice from the all knowing TexAgs

We are selling our 2013 Honda odyssey.

It's got 125k miles on it, and I would put in the fair-good condition area.

KBB has it listed $7,900-$10,200, or $8,800 as private party value.

Several dents and dings, scratches and the interior has some wear and tear.

What is best way/place to advertise and sale the vehicle? (Other than here of course)

I would take $7500-$8500 for it. And can post pics after weekend. Located in etx

If no one buys it here, list it on Autotrader. List it for $10,500 to give room to negotiate down if needed.

This scene cracked me and the boy up in the theater because we had an odyssey for 16 years.

Have you replaced the timing belt on it yet?

For sale: big, juicy van. Interesting trades considered.

it's overdue. Getting it done will add value to the vehicle for any buyer.

Ours was overdue for a timing belt change and that's what killed it at 16 years and 242,000 miles.

It's not the worst thing for us. It was having issues that were nickle and diming us more and more. We squeezed more than we expected out of it.

But yeah, the OP needs to drop a grand on getting that changed if they aren't able to do it themselves.

We are on our 3rd Odyssey minivan...

Even though the kids are gone, we might just keep this one though... it has become the neighborhood 'party van'... what other car can carry 8 people with like 23 cup holders?

best of luck selling... they do hold their value pretty good

I can't imagine why....

Changing the timing belt right now makes no sense for the seller. You will spend $1k and not get an additional $1k in resale value. It's like adding a pool to a house. Value will go up but not by the entire cost of the pool.

I kind of figured that it wouldn't be worth spending the $. It may net me a couple hundred more, from what I've been offered so far.

Here's some pics. I'm getting it detailed this weekend and will do full interior pics afterward.

Only interior damage is on drivers side arm rest pictures.
