I have a 2014 Honda pilot EXL 18-in Wheels with 169,000 mi on it. I currently have four Michelin defenders on my car but the front two are worn especially on the outside thus indicating some sort of alignment or suspension issue. That is what I'm trying to get worked on down the road but for now the immediate need is two new tires that I would throw in the back and push the current defenders that are in the back, forward.

What are y'all thoughts on the mohaue cub tires. They are 86 each and have a 40,000 mile tread life which is more than how much tread life I have on my defenders. I know some people have mentioned Arizonans but I do not believe they come in the my tire size

You could purchase used Michelin defenders on ebay with the same tread depth as your two good ones.

Why do you need them today? Used tire shops could probably locate them for you too.

Need to make long drive this evening. If these new Mohave tires won't cut it in what will

I've run a lot of cheap Chinese tires. They're going to ride rough, be noisy, and have worse traction than a Michelin. Outside of that, they'll get you down the road.

If you need them on the car by EOD I'm not sure there is much time to evaluate feedback and weight options.

I'd get the tires you're considering and get to where you need to be. Yes they'll be loud.

Might look at the discount tire options, but go a few dollars up from the absolute cheapest option.

I've bought economy tire brands made in South Korea, Czechia, and other places that have ridden just fine and lasted well on my little Honda. Chinese made tires are OK for an infrequent use vehicle or inexpensive trailer. OK for occasional use but I wouldn't ride on them daily or in anything expensive to drive or tow.

Try Mastercraft instead, Kumho if you can afford the upgrade.

I did end up getting them. They are meant to be "bridge" tires. While the other 2 tires wear down their tread. But my fronts had 1/32 and 2/32 left. So I did move up the 5/32 rear tires fwd and put the Mohave tires in the back. I do mostly highway driving in the morning and afternoon 3 days a week. So for 237 out the door I'll take it. Once the 5/32" Michelins die I'll do a full 4 tire swap.

Also of note the car has been having some alignment/suspension issues that I want to figure out before putting on nice tires.

Mojave CUV are lower end tires.

Why are the fronts worn so much more?

Did you skip a rotation?

This.

They are truly terrible in all aspects, but they aren't dangerous. They'll last probably 2/3rds the advertised time that they say. This is to get them past the pro-rated warranty.

My preference is to go to the closest concrete building that is painted yellow and red and has a "Llantas" sign out front. They'll sell you a used set of tires mounted and balanced for less than what Walmart charges. It'll be done in 20 minutes too.

I skipped 1 rotation and Costco refused to rotate them afterwards. With life happening it got put on back burner. And I find myself with worn fronts. Car has/had more issues and one is to address a slight vibration issue that is slowly becoming more pronounced. That is next on the list. Probably an alignment issue. But I'll see. I simply needed the tires right then. If I get them to go 25k I'll be happy. Next tire replacement will be for all 4.

Costco is ridiculous.
