Mike Finnegan and Tony Angelo put out a two-part YouTube documentary about their experience at Hot Rod Drag Week. This was a well done documentary that really captures the spirit and atmosphere of amateur racing.

Part One

Pretty good sequence of shots beginning at about 50 minutes

Part Two

This is a week of drag and drive events where your racecar must also be capable of being street legal. Drag race, drive to the next track, drag race the next day, then drive to another track, etc. I won't spoil the end, but in part one there was a pretty epic roadside repair on their Hemi.

Haven't had time to watch, is this the tour that went through Amarillo and on to New Mexico? A few months ago, we were in Los Alamos, NM, and a whole bunch of cool cars showed up, many dragging a trailer carrying their drag slicks

The one in the video was in the Ohio-Indiana area..

This is probably the one you saw pass through. They stopped at tracks along old 66 from Missouri to New Mexico.

Yeah, thanks. I recall the "Sick" logo around.

Was funny seeing them climb the twisty mountain road from LA to Valles Caldera

Built LS3/stage III T56, IROC
A/C, heater, radio all in it.
Street car. Less than 500 miles since the build. Never got it on the dyno much less the track. I have a stack of receipts and didn't spare a penny. No trap door, didn't butcher the firewall

Over 20k in the build. I'll be asking for 16k when I get the car back in my possession. It's in a family members garage back in Texas. Bought the car back in 2011 when it was a TPI A4

I was sitting in the scale house at the elevator in Conway watching all of those cars from that event drive by the day they came though here.
The trucks that were hauling into us that day were pissed at them because those cars would pull out in front of them or pass them with oncoming traffic not too far ahead.

Them and the bikers are one in the same. Always mad over the same crap that they do themselves to everyone else
