Now don't get your dander up. But I've been noticing with the new Ram designs and the latest Ford grille, there's a strong element common to both brands. Has anyone else been seeing this?

I have. It seems it's been this way for a few years. Maybe dodge wants to come back to ford.

I agree some do look very similar but Ford has so many grille designs for all the trim levels that you can get around the similarities pretty quick.

as a whole, the Ram trucks have so many smooth and round edges it looks like a sedan to me, the Ford balances out the round with the square, GM went to square and hard lines, and Toyota just went straight for hard lines and Transformer look. I think the GM exteriors look the best/most truck like. don't care for the lower level trim grilles on the GM products though.

As manufactures try to lower the drag coefficient in order to meet mileage standards, I can see them looking more and more the same. They either look like siblings or look like the prodigy of 2 others.

It has already happened to cars and small SUVs.

I think all full size trucks look pretty similar, which is to say not great. I've never been a fan of the proportions of the 4 door short bed truck. Flame away but I just think they look dumb.
