My daughter is a student and I'm coming up to CS tomorrow, while I'm there I need to get her car inspected so I can get her registration done by end of Nov. Prob is, car is registered in Harris Co which requires the emissions inspection. This may be a dumb question (I'm kind of a dumb guy lol) but are BCS inspection locations set up to do emissions testing?

You'll probably need to go to an emissions county to get it tested. I doubt anyone purchased the equipment in Brazos Co. to do work that isn't needed often.

When I was a student at A&M with a car registered in Dallas county, I had to sign an affidavit saying that the vehicle was being driven in a non-emissions county for 9 months or more. Not sure if that is still a path.

Assuming she's heading to Harris County for Thanksgiving, do it then. You've probably thought about that already and there's a reason it won't work but had to throw the obvious option out there.

You may try calling a couple of places in BCS and asking if they know of anyone that does it. About a month ago I was in a shop and a guy came in asking about emissions and if they knew anyone around that did it. I can't remember what the answer was but you're definitely not the only one with this problem.

- the vehicle will not be primarily operated (driven, parked, or stored less than 60 days per year) in one of the affected counties listed above (examples: certain company fleet vehicles, hunting vehicles);

-the vehicle will no longer be primarily operated for 60 calendar days per inspection cycle in one of the counties listed above (example: someone who moved from an affected county); or

-the vehicle will not return to an affected county prior to the expiration of the current vehicle registration sticker (example: student, vacationer, extended out-of-town business).
