Thinking about getting my wife a new Landcruiser. Curious if anyone on here has one or experience with one and can share thoughts. It will be a concrete queen for most of it's life, but we will probably take it off road and camping from time to time. Was curious what the real world reviews are on this SUV.

seem nice. Only issues I have is no need for hybrid, and back seat leg room is limited. Have not seen the new 4 runner, but between the two, I would take the 4Runner. current 4 runner has more leg room in back seat.

Whoa that's saying something.....the current 4runner is not roomy in the 2nd row but then again i am 6'2". I think the new 4runner will have less room in the 2nd row than the current gen.

Wait a year or two to let them prototype all the defects out. My 23 tundra is a lemon. It was one of the first out of production. Death by a thousand creaks, breaks, squeaks, recalls, etc.

And I'm a Toyota homer.

The good news is, I don't plan on riding in the backseat. More than likely, if I'm in the car, I will be the one driving.

We do have growing boys though, ages 9 and 12. I'll probably go test drive one soon. Her current car is a 2019 Ford Expedition.

I test drove one and liked it a lot. The 1958 trim is bare bones, I would go with the base trim, and if money werent an issue I would probably choose the Lexus over the Toyota to get the V6. The hybrid 4-cyl in the Toyota didnt feel underpowered, I would just rather have the V6.

I am in the same boat. If you plan on using this as a family hauler for road trips then space is something to consider. I have teenage girls and they much prefer the back seat in my tundra over the 4runner. We do have the 3rd row in 4runner and while it has no space, it does work in a pinch when we need to cart kids friends

They look cool. I'd compare a used 200 series LC/LX570

I drove one and it felt terrible. Was considering swapping the 4Runner for it, but no go. They do look nice though.

Definitely going to drive it to see how it feels. If it drives funny or just not comfortable driving it, we'll probably pivot towards the Bronco.

Ineos Grenadier is what you want.

Find a small hill and go up it. I suspect that'll be the end of it.

I was on waitlist since the day it came available and my neighbor got one from Sewell. Wow. What a loud, underpowered POS! Knobs crack and fall off, ac still doesn't work. Lights go in and out. Door trim fell off. Horn doesn't work, windshield leaks. And it's loud.

I'm dropped my order

Sounds like they got closer to the Defender than just looks.

Edit: I believe the quoted post is referring to the Ineos Grenadier, not the new Land Cruiser.

New LX- problems. New Tundra- problems. New TX- problems. New LandCruiser- problems.

Buy a used 200 and never look back.

Just got a quote from a dealer…. Yowza. Probably going to wait a little while for interest rates to come back down. To be honest, after seeing what they sent me, I feel like I can get a much better deal on a loaded Bronco. Plus I'm a little concerned about the new 4 banger engine in the Land Cruiser.

If you're not in a hurry, wait for supply to catch up to demand on the GX/Land Cruiser.

I have a '23 Bronco and I would not want it to be my primary vehicle.

Definitely not in a hurry. Nothing wrong with her car. Just was wanting to surprise her for the holidays. Definitely hoping the change in Presidency helps prices and interest rates come back down some. Her current car is nearly paid off and we had 0% interest thru Ford. I'm sure those days are long gone.

I have one.

I had a 2017 4runner before. The LC has far more acceleration than the 4R. It's similar in size to the 4R, and when I see one on the road I think about how small it looks. They require premium fuel and the gas tank seems small, feels like I'm having to fill up a lot more frequently,

I got the LC instead of the Lexus because I didn't like how all the Lexus climate controls are in the touch screen and the LC has buttons. I've since learned the Lexus has thicker glass to cut down on road noise, so I kind of wish I'd bought one just for that reason.

I really like mine, but if someone wanted to wait and check out the new 4Runner or look at something else, nothing wrong with that at all.

Any specific questions?

I keep having to tell myself this vehicle is for my wife and not me. I haven't even sat inside one but I already know it will be a lot smaller than what I am used to (F150 and Expedition). I'm having a hard time justifying the $20k price increase over the Bronco, not to mention the higher interest rates than when we bought prior.

If I were buying this vehicle for me, I'd go Bronco and not look back. My wife really wanted a Bronco before these came out.

How does it feel to drive? I've heard it has a lot of roll inside the can and it seems to nosedive when you come to a hard stop. Hearing that it takes premium and is a small tank kind of sucks.

I'm honestly wanting to just wait as there is nothing wrong with her Expedition, it's just getting a little dated.

Nosedive and roll?? I haven't experienced anything like that.

I think it's great to drive. I find it very quick and responsive and has a tight turning radius. I strongly suggest going and driving one yourself/herself.

As for the price variance above a Bronco…I'd suspect you will get every bit of that back at eventual trade in along with a much better built product with more features than that Bronco. I'm a Toyota fan and have a very low opinion of Ford quality, so in my mind, that $20K is completely justified…assuming that price difference is based on a good comparison.

That's just based on a few reviews I've seen. Definitely going to drive one before we buy. I love Toyota too. Had a last gen Tundra that was a freaking tank, just a gas guzzler.

On the test drive, adjust the drive mode up to Sport. Might be a little different feel than if it's stuck on Economy or Normal.

Good luck.

Interested in one as well - right now the only concern i have is the inline 2.7 and longevity. Read somewhere that it will develop and oil leak issue before 100k miles due to design that will cost a lot to fix. Any of y'all heard that?
