Tentatively Looking at F350 SRW or F450, KR/Platinum trim. I've historically insisted on Lariat because it lets me delete junk I don't need (moonroof, BLIS, 360 cameras, adaptive steering, etc). I've driven trucks like this since I was 14 and I don't want or need that stuff. I have been refusing to buy one because of the technology that by and large will be costly as hell to fix. If I end up with the nicer trims, I'll probably be stuck with LED headlights and since I like to keep trucks for 20+ years, I envision having to replace those assemblies. The flip side is the old school jeweled headlights where if they fail, I carry my ass to Oreilly and get another pair of bulbs for 30 bucks.

Does anyone have any real world experience in the quad beam headlights? What is the failure rate on them thus far?

You're buying a $90k+ truck and you're worried about possibly having to replace the headlights in 20 years???

This is like somebody buying a half million dollar house and worrying about possibly having to replace the refrigerator in 20 years.

Now that I got my smartass comment out of the way, you shouldn't disregard the value add of the LED headlights. Halogen headlights are ass and it's a night and day difference in the light output between the two. I promise you don't want halogen. After going LED, you never go back.

I don't recall ever seeing one driving around with the LEDs out. I had a '20 with the LED headlights. They are a significant improvement over the halogens.

On the flip side, I now have a '21 F150 that has recently had the vertical portion of the LED surround burn out on both sides a few weeks apart. I notice trucks almost every day that have a portion of that out.

I appreciate your snarky comment. It is not without merit. That's a fair point. And, I'm only asking because of the follow up comment. LED are pretty great. I know it sounds goofy but we don't tend to trade in vehicles. They get passed around and the running joke around here when we something needs to fixed is my wife likes to say "it's ok, I have a guy, I'll get him to fix that up." I'm the guy. It's a joke off The Office. Anyway, I guess they are making a billion of these trucks so it stands to reason that eventually there will still be used assemblies available if I need to replace. I'll try to suck it up and go LED. I don't have a vehicle with them but probably won't go back when I do. Lol.

Thanks for the info, everyone. It's helped make the decision.
