The closest one to me is a Keating Auto Group dealership so screw them.

Mark Dodge in Lake Charles is supposed to be one of the best in the region. I can vouch for their enormous inventory. Depending on where you are in Houston it's probably only a 3 hour drive.

Don't they deliver for free within 250 miles?

I haven't bought from Mark but my business partner has bought 3 rams from them. Came and picked up his trade and dropped new truck in Schulenberg. If I was going Ram that's what I'd do. They will do the whole deal by email. Or make a weekend of it and take the wife to beautiful Lake Charles LA.

Mark Dodge seems to be where everybody is ordering the new RHOs from. That's all I knew about them, other than the fact that its quite a drive from where I live.

I have a 2019 Ram and am on the Ram forums from time to time.

Mark Dodge has quite the stellar reputation on the forum (they are active on it), it's unbelievable the number of posters that have purchased from them.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have sold a truck to customers from the entire lower 48.

Everyone raves of how simple the process is and how great the delivery process was. Seems most travel there to take delivery but some pay for transport and still come out thousands ahead of doing a local deal.

I know when I'm ready for a new truck they will be my first contact.

Coincidentally, I'm looking at a 2019 Ram Big Horn with about 23k miles on it for my two high school boys to drive. It has the V8 engine. Is that a year and model you would generally recommend?

I have a 2019 Limited with the etorque engine. 126k miles.

Not going to say it's been issue free but I purchased the extended warranty (that is now expired) and got my money's worth.

Only out of pocket repair that I've made is the exhaust manifolds which is a common issue on the Hemi's.

I believe the Big Horn does not have the etorque or air suspension. Most would say that is two potential repair issues you aren't dealing with.

Overall I love it. I've been a person that normally gets the new car itch after about three years and the fact that I still have it five years after purchase tells me it's a keeper.

In Houston area myself.

Bought a 2022 Ram through Mark Dodge in Lake Charles via order. The buying experience was 100% the best I've ever had.

Bought a 2023 Ram through Landers in Bossier City. Great small town dealer and treated us right after the drive.

Bought 2021 Durango through the old Ryan Ford CDJR in Sealy. Believe it's changed names but they were great guys.

IMO, all the dealers in the Houston area greedy and more interested in trying to screw uninformed buyers than they are making repeat buyers out of their customers.

If you go to Mark Dodge, hit up Aaron Ginsburgh. aarong@markdodge.net

Mark Dodge is the answer if you're looking to order from Factory or purchase current year model inventory. They're no go if you're looking for one of the upfitted packages (Rocky ridge, apex etc)

If you're looking for a steal on previous year model etc then your options may vary.

I bought my 2018 from Bayway on 225 and 8. No complaints from me. Great truck and the price was reasonable. 96k on it and no real issues.

Filling up the gas tank is a pita, but not really. The rear window leaked, but I fixed that with some really liquid caulk. The front windows lose their auto up and down all the time, but that is really easy to reset. The ac recirc stopped working, but that was a $75 humidity sensor that took 45 seconds to replace. The brake light on top in the middle got water in it. $30 from amazon. The rear camera cuts out. A little contact grease on the plug and it works great. I think that is everything.

I assume you're talking about broken bolts. Do you mind me asking how much that cost? I have the same problem.

I was on a trip overseas and asked my wife to take my truck to the dealership for an oil change and look at the manifolds due to it getting noisy.

I returned to a repaired truck and a $1800 credit card charge.
