Also the 6.2L got the craptastic 8 speed starting in 2015.

Not the worst GM design, but the squared off wheel wells are hideous and still are. AFM made a beautifully simple and reliable LS engine a ticking time bomb. The 2015 transmissions told the unreliable 4L60E, "Hold my beer!!"

The steering wheel isn't centered with the driver's seat, which can't be unseen once you notice it.

I feel sorry for you if you can't find a normal truck beautiful.

I will forever love my dad's '83 silvy - wish I had it now.

In the meantime, I agree with most that the sweet spot for Silvys is '08-'12 or so. Some evidence:

I have a 2018 that I am hoping to trade in before the end of the year. I have always owned a Chevy, but I have my eye on Ford Powerboost and just hoping there will be some deals in November or December.

Between AFM, 6L80e programming, and broken A/C components, they're not reliable trucks. Top that off with the looks of it being worse than any other GM truck

I had a 2014 Silverado and never noticed that the steering wheel was not centered. Several cars over the years have done this, the 14-18 Silverado was on the same platform as the previous model.

This is a joke post, right? Those bug eyed chevys were the absolute worst.

Oh my God can agree more! The Chevys for most of the 2000s have been terrible. I do dig the new body style.

My 2015 Silverado went into limp mode and I took it to get the code, which was cylinder 5 misfire. I replaced spark plug, wire, injector, and coil pack. None of it fixed it. Finally found out that it either dropped a valve or rolled a cam lobe. I said F it I'll rebuild it with performance parts. LT engines are a lot more expensive than LS engines. Silvy helped a lot on what I need for the cam! Been a long journey on my first rebuild. I was able to drive it Saturday, but still need torque converter, driveshaft and a tune to be done.

-165k miles so far
-AFM disabled at 15k miles
-Full Synthetic Oil every 5k
-Trans flush every 25k
-One Battery change a year ago
-Third set of tires
-A/C completely rebuilt a year ago but that was only $1400

Mine too but AFM is still on. Also rebuilt whole AC last year, now it's freezing cold. But I only have 100k so hoping it's got a couple more years left.
