2014 Ram 2500, diesel, crew cab, long bed, 65k miles, Laramie Longhorn, 4x4

2016 Sequoia, SR5, 4x4, 167k miles

Other household vehicle is 2020 GX460 with 70k miles

What are the pros and cons for each? Have 2 upper elementary kids.

Unless you just need a truck, I'd keep the Sequoia and ditch the Ram.

Unless you're towing something which needs 3/4-ton diesel truck capabilities, ditch the truck. Drive the other cars in to the ground.

Ditch the truck and sell it to me cheap.

The truck is my 90 ye old grandfather's. He's been trying to sell it to me for a year. I've been borrowing it for a week and am falling for it.

I've had the Sequoia for 7 yrs and love it.

Everyone needs a truck sometimes, but I don't need that much truck. Sequoia fits my needs better. Head says Sequoia, heart says truck. If the truck were worth 1/2 what it is I could swing it as a 3rd vehicle.

Coolerguy, I sold you a shotgun once and still regret it.

Does the Sequoia have 4wd? We have two Sequoias and I was actually leaning toward the Ram because it fills a distinctly different niche than your Lexus. Do you need to do real truck stuff very often? If not then I guess I'd agree to keep the Sequoia.

Yes all 3 are 4wd. Sequoia beats Ram there because of weight and wheel base.

But yeah, GX and Sequoia overlap a lot.

Cut me a good deal on the truck and I'll give you the shotgun back. I still have it.

Ok, different scenario. Help me out with which to offload:

1989 F150 - 4WD, inline 6, manual

1996 F250 - 351W, 2WD, automatic, but has an AC that can be fixed and has a flatbed

Assume similar miles and wear and tear for the age.

Which one would you keep? Or do you get rid of both?

Truck is for feed runs and putting around for farm chores and short drives to town.

Ditch the Lexus 4runner, upgrade the stereo in the sequoia for the wife, and you drive the diesel, bro.
