Much to our surprise, my wife and I were able to pick this new ride up for her this past Wednesday. We have been on the waitlist with Sewell in Dallas, and after a visit to go look at their first one on the showroom floor a few weeks ago I figured we'd be waiting at least 3-6 months or longer. The waitlist is very long as you can imagine.
Luckily for us someone backed out of this one when their name came up and we got a call Monday after lunch to see if we were ready to pull the trigger. Talking to the salesman when we picked it up, it sounds like we got the chance on this one because we had shown a lot of interest by coming by to check out their first arrival and he knew we were ready to replace my wife's old/current ride.
This one is an Overtrail + which was my preference based on some reviews for road noise, ride, etc. that I had seen on YT or read online. We were on the list for any of the + models and most of the colors. She was driving an Infiniti before with low profile tires and "sport" suspension that was a good/reliable vehicle for her, but not something I enjoyed riding in.
When we were picking this up there was a Premium or Luxury there in atomic silver with a black roof that looked
really slick. To be honest, I think the Premium/Luxury style looks better in person than I was expecting. I would have been happy if that was what we ended up with, but my preference was the Overtrail +.

We picked this up Wednesday evening and then rolled out to Midland Thursday. First impressions:
Had a couple of ladies follow me to our office out west on Friday to check it out which was pretty funny. Wife is super happy with it so far and I'm glad to have something a little bigger and better ride to use other than my truck for trips and running around.

We picked this up Wednesday evening and then rolled out to Midland Thursday. First impressions:
- Very comfortable and soft ride (compared to the Infiniti I mentioned and my 1500 Denali, AT4, and 2500 Chevy)
- It's a bigger vehicle in person. I'm 6'1" and was surprised that the back seat has plenty of room for me to not feel crammed in.
- Road noise was minimal on the highway and even more so running around town
- Plenty of get up and go on I20 going to and from Midland
- The Lexus infotainment system is quick/responsive and carplay is always a plus
- The steering assist was really nice on the highway. You have to have your eyes up, but as long as your hand/leg is touching the wheel you're good. When on it is honestly easier to let it turn on the highway or else you kind of feel like you are fighting it. That took some getting used to on the way out there.
- If you drive with either arm at 12 o'clock you can easily block the sensor checking for your eyes and you'll get beeped at. I haven't looked for or found a way to disable that. Not a huge deal though.
- We dropped the back row down and had more than enough room for a couple of suitcases and backpacks + our 2 dogs that are 50 and 80 lbs.
