The missus and I rented a 24 Mustang convertible for game weekend, and the leather seats (not Recaros) were the most plush and supportive car seats she's ever sat in. As for me, I'm partial to Recaro and sport driving seats. But our next vehicle will be hers, so great seats for non-sports car drivers will be imperative. Suggestions on makes/models that have comfortable seating for the driver and front passenger? (If Ford offers the base leather Mustang seats in anything else, that would be a contender.)

Have owned Hondas, Fords and Audis. Obviously, ridden in dozens of other makes/models.

Generally, I would say that Audi sedans easily have the best seats as standard equipment. I have driven a few of the "S" type Audi SUVs and the seats are great, but those may be unique to the "S" varients.

May be helpful to say what type of vehicle you are looking for

Mid size SUV, 2 or 3 rows. She said she'd even consider a Bronco if it came with Mustang seats.

2006 Audi S4 Recaro seats fit like a glove. Really miss driving that car.

I owned a 2002 TT, a 2009 A5 S-line and still own a 2016 TTS. All the seats were great, but the seats in the TTS beat them all. Like noted, they hold you in tight. It's like you strapped on the car as opposed to sitting in it. Before I retired, I regularly drove my TTS on TDYS rather then rent or fly. 400-500 mile days were easy of the butt in that car.

Looking for something a wee bit newer.

The front seats in the '10 VW CC my ex owned were pretty good.

I've also been a fan of the front seats in my '00 Celica. They've held up great over time.

Recently rode in an XC90 Uber and was blown away by how comfortable the rear seats were, I imagine the fronts are as well.

I imagine the Lincoln zillion way adjustable ones are pretty nice.

I like the seats in my dad's GV80 a lot too.

Range Rover seats were great. I haven't set in the latest round. I prefer lots of support for long trips. They didn't hurt my back, but it hurt the wallet.

2002-2006 chevy suburban/Tahoe. I don't know why but I always found them very comfortable for me. Nothing else I have driven personally has been better in all that time, which does indicate I don't drive new luxury cars ever.

I can confirm the Lincoln bazillion way adjustable seats are indeed excellent!

Throw the massage on with either heater or cooler depending on the season, and it's sublime.

Saab 9-3 seats were comfortable. e60 seats were comfortable. Like the seats in my super duty as well.

I drove a friend's Tesla model 3 and came away more impressed with the seats than the acceleration which is saying something.

As someone noted, just out of a 4hr drive in a Volvo xc90 and seats were great. That said I've found them to but a bit more firm and non-plush both in the 90 and 60. Been very happy with the multi-contour version of the X5 seats.
