I need some recs for cleaning and detailing products. My 12 yo son wants to get into detailing golf carts and has done some for friends with decent success. We have a lot of them around us so he is excited about earning some money. Right now he knows he likes car guys super cleaner and car guys plastic restorer. What other products should he be looking at? He is at the beginner stages so we can't go crazy. Also any tips for him as well? Any help is greatly appreciated. He has another job lined up this weekend. TIA

Wire brush for a drill and black spray paint for the rusty frames.

I would just buy a gallon bottle of Simple Green Crystal. It is a 10:1 dilutable commercial degreasing cleaner that will work for most, if not all, surfaces on the golf cart. Then, some scrub sponges, brushed (for floor boards) and microfiber towels at Home Depot or Sams/Costco. I don't think you need much more than that. The Simple Green will work better for the cart than car soap. Get an electric blower to dry it off.

3M rubbing compound and 3M machine polish if he plans to do any buffing

We have a buffer and blower so that's easy. It's more of knowing what to use on plastics and vinyls vs cars. We also have the foam gun.

There's a 3M machine polish that comes in a purple bottle that I've used to polish the faded black fiberglass hull of a boat. It was a lot of work, but looked almost like new when done.

If the carts are the type with custom wheels I'd look at Adam's wheel cleaner. Stuff does great on automotive wheels.

Aerospace 303 for the plastic trim and tires.

My wife made fun of me because I wanted to ceramic coat our new golf cart. Damn thing was as much as a used car, why not protect it?

I use this on my Ranger and it's awesome!

Maxima 78920-2PK SC1 High Gloss Coating 34.4 FL. OZ. 1016 mL - NET WT. 24 OZ. (680g), 2-Pack https://a.co/d/9JZz0G1

Not sure it fits the bill exactly for what you're looking for but it's an easily applied spray wax that keeps mud and dirt from sticking (within reason). It's shiny and would probably take significantly less time than applying a hand wax.
