Hmm having some issues with getting my new car inspected because of front windshield tint.

Let me know if someone has a recommendation here in Dallas. I've struck out at 4 places.

KwikCars never checked my tint when we lived in North Texas. I've found Grease Monkeys down here in Houston to not check tint either.

Do you say anything about it up front or just hope they don't check it?

I had two see it right when I pulled in and two turn down a $20 when I said something up front

Haha yeah I probably could have gotten away with it at one spot if I didn't say anything.

how dark is it? anything less than 70% will likely be too noticable IMO

Man the place I went to last year for my (mostly) stock Mustang GT, he was asking questions about if I had removed the cats. The only thing I've done to is is load the Ford Performance tune and the exhaust has been untouched. The guy kept saying "I'm going to check...if you've added an x-pipe or something it will fail and you'll have to come back here until it's fixed". Won't be going back to the same place this year.

Heaven forbid a car exhibits the v-8 rumble.

If they entered your car into the system as a fail, you will fail everywhere.

Sounds like a setup, of course they'd fail you.

If your vehicle wasn't entered into the system as a fail. You'd better be offering more than a $20 to get someone to look the other way. The penalties can include loss of the ability to perform inspections, large fines, and jail time.

I've used the same guy for 15 years and he will approve anything for me.

He asked me to honk the horn after mice ate my wiring so I rolled down the window and yelled honk as I mashed on the wheel.

Okay okay. I shouldn't offer money and if I do it needs to be a lot more.

Just wait until 2025.

Not if he assures them he's not a cop. That's the law, cops have to tell you they're cops.
