I tow a 2-horse gooseneck trailer w/a small living quarters complete with AC, microwave and minifridge with my Powerboost. The generator handles the AC and the other appliances fine. Pulls the trailer with all our gear and the horse just fine as well.

Damn. I can't anywhere near that for an average in my PB. Definitely not on the interstate. Maybe one day mine will "break in"!

My Ford readout is always 1.1 - 2 MPG higher than hand calculated so take those readouts with a grain of salt.

You can option a 4wd Lariat or the base package KR and still get about 1500 lb payload rating if you opt for 18" wheels, and skip the pano-roof, the power running boards, the FX4 package, and the fancy tailgate. I know the sticker posted showed the tow package, but if buying off a lot make sure it at least has the tow package option. Without a tow package the PB is rated for some measly 5000 lbs or something completely useless. Max Tow package gets larger rear brakes and about 1500 higher tow rating, but it is debatable if you can ever use that extra rating since most setups are payload limited. I think max tow also has a slightly better axle, but it weighs more too so it nicks your payload a little too. Think it is something they termed a 3/4 floating axle, as opposed to the standard semi-floating axle. Bigger brakes are always good for a tow rig.

I think the max tow also comes with a bigger cooler for the transmission.

I have a '21 Lariat 3.5L boost with max tow 5.5' bed 4x4 with 18" wheels, regular steps, no moonroof. 1800# payload
