My Aggie daughter who now lives in Houston (we are in college station) had a warning light pop on so she took it to a mechanic and told her that she needs her brake pads replaced, which may very well be because it's a 2018 Highlander but I'm not sure if she's ever had the brake pads removed, but also that she needs all kinds of hoses replaced, etc. of course, I don't believe any of those things will warrant the warning light popping on. It may only be a reminder like to get service as far as I know.
She's sending me the information, but I just don't know who in Houston would be a good second opinion. It may very well be the case that these things need to be addressed, but it just seems unusual based on the age of the vehicle, in my opinion. I would love to have a place that she could go that was recommended by someone on this board, that she could get another opinion. She lives over by beltway eight, just north of I 10 on the west side.
