Been a minute since I have updated any kind of car stuff on here and thought I would add to my useless Rule #1 posts

Wife sold her GT500 in a moment of guilt as she left a job and took sometime figuring out what she actually wanted to do career-wise. Thinking it would take her 6 months to a year to find a new job she didn't think having a play car was very responsible. Well a month after selling her car she landed her dream job and a month after that we bought another toy for her.

I can honestly say there isn't a more useless, impractical vehicle out there, and we love it. Drive it everywhere. All 9 MPG of screaming eagle Americuh.

2022 TRX. Bought it in Virginia as all of the Texas dealers wanted more than sticker and drove it home. Finally got smarter with our dumb vehicle purchases and registered a business in Montana for registering toys.

Day I picked it up:

After removing the stupid bed bar, adding wheels and tint

And found out you can actually use the bed, who knew?

Register the car in Montana and you don't have to pay sales tax on it and you don't need to get it inspected

As soon as I figure out if there is an actual FlexFuel solution for it and I can get the fuel supply I need without a BAP.

Well the pulley and the e85, I live in a respectable area now and forgo the long tubes, and the nitrous, well more of a pain than it is worth

Nah I have an LT4 in the garage in the Blackwing, Hellcat motor is fun to have in addition and surprisingly strong. My stock bottom end trackhawk made close to a 1000 at the wheels according to the fuel consumption, could never get a good dyno reading on it.

They are Icon Rebounds. Very reasonably priced and I really love the way they look. This thing is 1000% mallcrawler so no need for anything actually fancy.

What MGS said. This is the registered agent I used. https://www.49dollarmontanaregisteredagent.com/

I just made a duplicate of my company registered in Montana and the vehicle is registered with it as the owner. Really not that hard and honestly if you have the patience for the Montana DMV's incessant need for documents, relatively easy. No sales tax to the state of texas, no inspection every year.

That is how I am handling it yes. That said I think that could possibly get messy if there was a lien on the vehicle.

Me thinking of all the money saving possibilities of registering a car in Montana.

Looks like 43% of all their registrations are financed at 5 Star registration.com.

I could live with this plate on a new Sequoia let's say

If the home address on your license is in Texas, you might get a ticket for not having registered your vehicle and getting a new plate within 30 days of arriving.

I think it is a "company vehicle" not personally owned

Ding Ding Ding. Owned by my company, not by me. That's like saying anyone driving a TXU truck who gets pulled over would get a ticket for not registering their company's vehicle in their name.

You need something big enough to haul a big rubber ball of oil.

And a chicken.

How does insurance work? If it's a company vehicle can you insure it as a personal vehicle? Could a the insurance company deny the claim if they find out you're operating a personal vehicle out of state?

I'm asking because I want to do it, not because I'm mad at the game. Currently have dealers license but that is a headache with bonds, filing county tax paper work every month etc.
