How long do you want to ignore this user?
Just pulled out the tire jack for the first time on this truck incredibly. Luckily it was in my own driveway because I had to use three pieces of a 2x6 to put under the jack to get the tire off the ground. It really would have sucked to have been on the side of the road somewhere. Anyways just thought I'd pass it along to anyone that might want to test their jack out before they get in a bind.

Yep, this is an issue for anyone with lift/leveled truck as well.

I was really shocked as I do not have a lift on my truck

Then you are most likely using the wrong jack point

Yep. I was using the truck frame and apparently a video I just watched uses the rear axle. Would not have guessed not using the truck frame.

yeah, this should serve as a PSA...a lot of sedans and small SUVs use the pinch weld, don't do that on heavy trucks, typically want to use the axle tubes

Yes, definitely use the axle tube, or maybe shock mount, on trucks. When using the frame, you have to lift it beyond the suspension droop. Under the axle, you don't have suspension droop to deal with.

Yes, this.

On IFS trucks/SUV's you can often jack under the LCA or ball joint, depending on clearance.
