How long do you want to ignore this user?
Looking for suggestions. Want to put one in my 2012 F150.
Don't know anything about them but was told to get a double din by the guy that is going to install it.
I would like a backup camera too.
Looking to spend around $300-$400. I have an Iphone.
Thanks.

I put a Pioneer in my 2010 Tacoma a couple years ago. I will have to look up the model but it has the CarPlay and I really like it. Think it was around $200.

BOSS is a discount brand but this unit is probably the only wireless head unit you'll find at your price point.

I'll never go back to wired carplay.

You will also need a connection kit to keep your steering wheel controls:

Bezel kit:

Antenna adapter

If you don't need to retain the steering wheel controls you can save ~$80.

If you jump into the $700-$800 range, you can get an iDatalink compatible head unit which will plug into your OBDII port and allow TPMS displays, door ajar displays, and customizable digital engine displays. My wife loves the functionality it brought to her 2011 Sienna.

Hers is an example: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_130DMW4660/Pioneer-DMH-W4660NEX.html?tp=5684

Just go to Crutchfield's website and enter you vehicle model and they will spit out compatible head units and install kits. Unless another site is way way cheaper, go with Crutchfield, their installation support is excellent and their investment in tearing apart every vehicle on the road to confirm fit and develop detailed instructions is worth patronizing.
