Anyone done one?

My diesel shop recommends them for owners who intend to keep their trucks long term but I don't have any practical knowledge of then. Website suggests possible performance improvements. My shop likes then for long term maintenance and cost savings

TIA

I've had one before, sold the truck so can't speak to the long-term maintenance savings. But I don't remember thinking there would be any real maintenance savings. It had two filters, water separator filter and a particulate filter that had recommended routine replacement. Perhaps they are referencing saving the injectors because they are putting through higher purity fuel? I wouldn't count on it saving you any traditional maintenance costs.

Now if you need to replace the fuel system for some reason (as I did), I definitely would recommend the FASS versus going back in with an OEM. But I would not "proactively" replace the OEM setup in the hopes of saving anything long-term with regard to maintenance, just my opinion.

I put a Fass Fuel System on my truck late last year and have been happy with the performance. Main driver for me was to help prevent a CP4 failure, which could still very well happen but I wasn't ready to do the entire CP3 conversion.

I run a FASS 165 on mine. Agree as stated above, it's supposed to help with injector life, less stress on the fuel pump and support additional HP. You'll have two additional filters to change, unless you make changes to the OEM setup.

FASS or Airdog appear to be the market leaders.

What truck you putting it on?

Thx all!

Greenchiles it would be for a 2015 RAM 2500 that currently needs new fuel filters - I've got about 130k on the clock at the moment

If you want to save some money there is a system called 444Fab which is basically a cheaper version of a FASS. Actually they just do Fords. Scratch that.

I had a FASS pump installed on my truck (2016 Duramax ) at 34k miles. My CP4 crapped the bed at 158k. Granted from 34k to 158k I ran a stage 2 or 3 tune. I have a CP3 now that performs great.

You can add a lift pump now but it's not going to keep the CP4 from crapping the bed at this point.
