So some guy parked a new one on my street to use the trails and I walked over and got a good look at it. It was the pale blue badlands hard top edition. They look smaller in person than what I figured, and the interior looks pretty base.

So my question is, what trim and package would be the end all be all with all the bells and whistles with leather and everything else you'd expect from a top of the line trim? And what's the MSRP for that vehicle?

So this guy paid all that money for a trail-ready vehicle and then walked the trails?

Lol, ironic isn't.

So I priced one out and it looks like top of the line is about $60k if I did it right. Is the 2.7 the biggest engine you can get in these? Are you able to build a top of the line model with a manual transmission?

Also, how do I delete the black rims without deleting anything else, is that possible?

And realistically, if I order this thing now, it would be sometime during the second Desantis administration before I get it, right?

First Editions I believe are the nicest fully loaded variety stock.

But let's be honest, this isn't a vehicle intended for luxury daily driving. It's intended to compete with Jeep and Xterras off-road.

That said, the Bronco easily has the best interior of those competing options, and would be the best daily driver of those competing options.

If you truly want all the bells and whistles go get a Land Rover Defender and upgrade the heck out of it. Bronco was intended to be more utilitarian.

And yes...you'll be waiting many months to get one. probably half a year.

Yes, starting with the '22 model you can get the 7M transmission with the 2.7, which opens it up to any model you want. If you're looking for a mall crawler (leather, nice rims, etc) would recommend configuring an Outerbanks model.

I thought it was the Sasquatch package they opened up the manual transmission with for 2022? I can only build one with a standard ****** with the 2.3 engine

Badlands has 4 different packages; standard, mid, high, and lux
Wildtrak has 3; mid, high, and lux

This. You can only get the manual with a 2.3. Manual w/ Sasquatch is what was "unlocked" for 2022.

There aren't any more First Editions being sold, but you can make one by basically fully optioning out a Badlands.

Is it also accurate that you can only get a manual in the 2 door? 2 door and 2.3L only?

Nope. 2 and 4 door

That's nice, but would suck having a 4dr with the 2.3L. Maybe that's why I thought it was only in the 2dr.

I drove a 4 door Sasquatch with the 2.3 and it wasn't bad. Not going to win any races, but plenty fine for day to day driving. I was able to pull out directly onto 290 from a dead stop and had no problems.

If you have any interest, find a nearby dealership with a mannequin or two. Most will let you test drive without giving you grief or sales pitches.

My $0.02.

I've driven both on the road and the 2.3 at the off roadeo event. Couldn't tell the difference on pavement and the 2.3L was more the enough for the course we did off road.

Somewhat recent name change, so wasn't sure if you put 2+2 together. That's great if the delivery holds - much quicker than I expected.

Why, oh why can't I get my 2 door scheduled?!?! Sure hope I can get the thing before the end of the summer!

No idea what is holding stuff up. It has a hardtop, but I thought that was resolved.

2 door Big Bend
2.7L
Sasquatch

Yeah. I'm a 2 door Base 2.7 auto Sasquatch, mod bumper, brush guard, aux switches. Reserved 6/26/21 and ordered 10/13. Received my scheduling email a few weeks after order. I was 1/3, but got bumped to 1/10 in mid December. There were a huge batch of 2 doors scheduled for early January. All of the 2 door manuals got bumped to 2/14, but the autos have held 1/3-1/10.

Maybe it's a dealership allocation issue????

Anyone have an idea on lead times if I reserve today? Sewell in Midland is saying 1.5 - 2 years? Is that accurate?

Just to clarify 2022 Broncos are allocations now, not a reservation.

There is not really a way to predict wait time. It all depends on what you order and what commodities Ford has to build. I have 2021s still not scheduled to be built and I had a 2022 delivered in 5 weeks (yes that is correct) bc he left off the build delays and the stars aligned

There are 4 known build delays
-WildTrack and Badlands model
-Tow hitch
-Hard Top

The 2.7 doesn't seem to be a delay anymore.

Is the rag top really as bad and loud as everyone seems to suggest it is?
555-PINF
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Mostly the opposite. There are a lot of guys saying that it's much quieter than expected. Many say that it's night and day difference from their Jeep hardtops. Even the ones who switched from a hardtop to a soft top in order to expedite delivery have been surprised. The two complaints I see most are the sagging rear side windows (speculation is that it's a necessary evil of the flip up rear hatch feature) and that water pools above the driver and passenger and "rains down" upon exit from the vehicle (common across many soft top vehicles - trick is to pop the roof above your head before getting out to drain the pool).

Can you switch to the softop on the 2-door with no charge or not?
555-PINF

There's no factory soft top option for the 2 door. You can add a Bestop as an option, but it comes separate as an addition to the hard top.

Looks like they has changed for 2022. Or the build and price tool is jacked up. I always thought the 2-doors were hard top only too.

Click on the "i" button next to the soft top. At the bottom of the info screen it says "Dealer installed option." "Shipped separately from the vehicle for dealer installation." Notice when you choose the soft top in the configurator the MIC top is still checked, as well.

So, if the hard top on the 2 doors is the hold up, why am I seeing so many other 2 doors getting built? Is my June order that far behind those?
Bronco6G

June 2021? If so, yes, there are more than 50k 2door builds ahead of yours
