Chevy truck tailgate latches. You have to master the art form of putting your elbow high and yanking precisely straight upward.

Mid to late 70s Camaros: interior door handles break
Mid to late 80s Mustang: heater core leaks (pisses on your passenger's feet and requires removing entire dash to replace)

When I had my first job and replaced the car I'd driven throughout college and early career, this was the breaking point that made me switch: the radio played if a tape was ejected, and if the tape was inserted the tape played. I had a tape get jammed halfway between in and out, so zero audio.

I lasted about a month

Every Jeep Cherokee ever made had rear hatch handle issues. Look at every old Cherokee, the owner probably has a cord, or rope that he pulls to open the rear hatch.

It's been said but needs more saying: Chevy/GMC tailgates. They couldn't even get one function right, I can't imagine the problems that the 36 function tailgates will start having in a couple of years.

They'll become sentient and attack their owners.

Another vote for windshield.

Other than replacement parts, in my 40 years of auto ownership, I can't say there's one common part that breaks on all cars except the windshield.

A/C Blend door actuators. I've replaced them in Chevrolets, GMCs, Fords, and Lincolns... so far.

This. And my 18 locks the tailgate when the doors are locked. Now the tailgate actuator sometimes does not unlock the tailgate when the doors are unlocked. Need to use the key at times to open/unlock.

This. Went out on my '09 Tahoe about 7 years ago. Irrationally expensive to fix. Manual work around will persist forever.

Remember in the old days when these were mechanical and vacuum actuated, they almost never broke. Sure there was an occasional clunk sound but who cared. It's so much "better" now when you can't control your HVAC and have to spend hundreds to fix repeatedly.

The vacuum stuff in my Olds broke all the time. The bellows rubber was coming apart and air would always drop to the floor.

Honda Power Steering pump or lines that leak. Like everyone I've owned they eventually leak somewhere.

The electric ones on my 04 Silverado are a big pain too. Good to know GM is consistent. I've had several Fords where the vacuum ones were rock solid. But the electric ones on my 2012 F-150---nope.

Man I'd forgotten about that. The coolant-soaked red carpet that was already 10 years old and worn and dirty wasn't a very pretty sight.
