Need y'all opinion…
We are trying to decide between a 2022 Cadillac Escalade or 2022 GMC Yukon Denali. We originally just considered the Denali, but after poking around on the Cadillac website, it seems as if you could get a lower tier Escalade for close to what a Denali would cost. The biggest difference would be a panoramic sunroof. You would have to step up to the next package on the Cadillac, ($9,000+) to get that option. I'm assuming the rides are very similar. Also, I tried looking back at KBB to see what one would hold their value better and they are comparable. Maybe a few thousand higher with the Escalade.
The plan is to keep this vehicle for the next 8-10 years. She has the midsize Cadillac SRX now (2010 with 99,000 miles) and its been a great car. With a growing family, we need more space for them. Not too worried about cargo space since we take my F150 most of the time for long trips.
The 2022 Escalade is priced at $78,970 for a new build.
Looks like GMC hasn't released the 2022 Yukon just yet, so based off 2021, the Denali price is $72,745.
A difference of $6225. However, if you search for current inventory for the 2021 Denali, they are priced closer to that $76-78k range.
What would y'all recommend? Is it worth spending $6k more for a car we expect to keep for 8-10 years?
