I've seen those "100" stickers for decades. Does it have something to do with supporting the cops in Houston?
100 Club is a nonprofit family survivors fund for fallen officers. Idea is, you may get off with a warning as long as youre not driving like an abject moron. Not sure if it works or not...

It's been expanded to include all first responders in, I believe, the 7 County region around Houston/ Harris County.

Pays for the funeral straight away, then they pay off all long term debt the family has. Since most of these folks are on pension plans there isn't always a robust savings as the plan is the paychecks never stop.

OK... no derail... back to regular bad bad stickers

In the 70's there was a weird trend where people would put foot print stickers on everything, which eventually translated into a footprint shaped after market gas pedal. There was also the oh-so-clever bumper stickers that read "Gas, grass, or ass. Nobody rides for free".

When the Calvin peeing on stuff was really popular, it was being used by drivers who had grown up reading the funny papers. Everybody knew it was Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes.
Everyone that had that bumper sticker was a colossal moron

Not popular but I saw a jeep with "go topless" on the rear window. It was strange because in order to see the sticker the roof has to be on the jeep.

26.2 and 13.1 are the dumbest. No one cares that you did that. It's not impressive

I saw a 00.0 in the same format. I laughed.

I had an Alpine sticker when I was 16. They kicked out my back window and stole my stereo. Dad told me it was a dumb idea, and he was right!

So it's the Ancient Greek predecessor to "come and take it"?

Saw the gas, grass, or ass sticker yesterday on 20 coming back from Gulf Shores. I was hoping it was a stupid local but was embarrassed when I noticed the Texas plates.

Molon Labe was the original, meaning "come and take".

The citizens of Gonzales who had an education, would have had a classical education, meaning lots of Greek and Roman history and culture. So they would have known about the Spartans.

The "Come and Take it" flag was the obvious, intentional derivation of the Greek saying by the educated folks of Gonzales.

The KLOL sticker with the Silver Surfer head is a timeless classic. I didn't care for the running radio logo, however.
