fair enough. I always put my waders and boots on while sitting in a chair or on a bench at the house before I head out in the morning and i can't remember the last time I sat on a tailgate to just sit. seems reasonable though.Eminus6 said:SquanchyAg said:what is so "game-changer" about that tailgate? my normal one opens and shuts and I can put stuff in the bed. what does that one do that is so special? I guess I don't understand it.Eminus6 said:
In the minority opinion, but the functions of the multi-pro tailgate are a game changer and very worth the risk and inconvenience of having to add/remove the hitch when needed/not needed. As a note, I though the tailgate was dumb also until I got one, don't think it's dumb anymore just wish they would have installed a switch like others said to keep the smaller gate from opening when a hitch is installed.
Makes it much easier to get into the bed, especially if you're carrying something. It's also easier for the kids to get in the bed.
Early morning duck hunts, instead of holding on to the side of the truck while trying to step out of boots and into waders I deploy the tailgate and step, sit down on the step and put my waders on/off there. Much easier putting on waders and guarantees I keep my feet dry.
It makes it more comfortable to sit on the tailgate longer when your legs aren't dangling, with the step out you can sit on the tailgate and have your feet rest on the step or can sit on the step with your feet on the ground and have a backrest. Either option are more comfortable than dangling feet.
Maybe those aren't "game-changers", perhaps our definitions are different but those functions alone make the tailgate significantly better/more useful for me over a standard tailgate.
