Reviving this thread to respect rule 1 - picked up this beauty on Monday in Minnesota (yes, I live in Texas).
Worked out well as there are currently none of these anywhere in Texas or border states, and the dealers are asking for $4-6k over MSRP for a damn minivan! So I found this dealer that's 10 minutes from my sister in MN that was over $2k under MSRP before other rebates and no dealer add-ons plus only a $125 doc fee.
Wife loves the color and kids are happy. Drives like a dream too which made the 1,100 mile trip home a little more tolerable. Lots of looks on the highway from Tesla drivers and others wondering what it was.
Next up: debadge the dumb 'Carnival' name on the tailgate. Not sure what was wrong with Sedona?
I'll post a couple of good videos below that do a good job of showing the interior features. My wife was absolutely against the tuscan umber color though...too close to burnt orange!lotsofhp said:
Would you mind posting some pics of the interior?
Also, we're you able to look at one before you bought it?
Really Appreciate any info. Congratulations on your new car!
Is he related to Jay Leno!?Captain Positivity said:
I love this guy. And also, cool van.
Ugh... I guess that is why I don't see many of them driving around.Average Joe said:
We put in an order last June for an SX.
Waited.
Waited more.
Searched around at dealerships.
Waited more.
Gave up this month and got our deposit back.
Looking at other options now.

Sorry to keep bugging you with this but just curious how you're enjoying the van after a month now

Sorry just now seeing this and we've had the SX over a year and 15k. One dealer fix for the sliding door otherwise no issues and just as happy with the decision (though I don't think you can go wrong with the Odyssey or Sienna either honestly). MPG is ok and especially good compared to the huge 3row SUVs plus the carnival actually has more interior volume. We still don't see very many of them in Austin. Also the EX model would have been ok too probably. My wife does use the power folding mirrors sometimes to pull out of the garagebut the rear entertainment in the SX is not very well integrated and screens get in the way. The 360 parking and kid/cabin view are pretty awesome
just different trims. SX and above have the grille you are talking about. Looks sweet I agree but a PIA to clean the bugs off of.Buck Turgidson said:
Why do some seem to have a black plastic grill while most seem to have the chrome grill that looks like a solar farm from overhead? Different year models or trim levels? I like the solar farm grills, actually.

50/50 she will still manage to knock them off.
If you are in Texas then Helen at Fort Bend Kia is your best bet (let you order at MSRP but 3-6 months out). I'm the crazy one that flew to Minnesota to get one well under MSRP, but that was over a year ago and even that dealer doesn't seem to ever get any in.bobinator said:
We really like the look of these but finding one seems like quite the challenge.
Lol. Only took one day.neutics said:YouBet said:neutics said:

Totally - a few close calls for sure. She tried to back out of the garage with the sliding door open for some dumb reason and I came out to find it wedged against the pillar and she didn't realize it 'stuck out so far'. Thankfully just surface paint damage that buffed out.
