I broke my hand by driving with my right elbow resting on the center console. When I got hit, my hand flew forward and hit the gear shifter.

Ps. I know another Texags person who broke his on the AC vent when his hand flew forward.

This is why the shifter should always be on the column

Dang man...I'm sorry that happened to you. Not to scare you, but I broke my wrist when I was 11 and I can still feel it from time to time and I'm now 38.

When I recently hit a tree head on, both of my hands were pretty cut up and my thumb was jammed.

Sorry that happened breaks really suck! I'm still recovering from a broken fibula that happened two weeks after my wreck That was in late June and it's still hurts like a sob to walk.

It also frees up console space for bigger cup holders, more storage, or something else useful. Wish this trend never would've caught on. Now it seems like they're trending toward knobs, but most of those are still on the console.

Rolled my ankle really hard on an oak tree root in my yard at night. I've had more than my share of personal bad luck in this crazy as 2020 year. Also impaled my finger, pretty sure I broke the tip of my pinky(or jammed it so bad it hurts two months later), and never got it x rated but I think I broke a bone in my hand as well because it's also still sore when I hit it on something and the bone no longer feels straight.
