The next time he goes out there, all he has to do is write "MBUSA" on a sheet of paper, put it on one of the cars and take a picture of the garage.

He doesn't have to expose his personal information,... although he has disclosed the future location of millions of dollars worth of cars and he can squash these terrible rumors once and for all.

Come on. That's beneath a high roller like MBUSA.

Hey Barnes. How come the picture of the outside of your shop shows an offset A-Frame while the interior shot shows a center A-Frame?

He had a handle where he coopted a female lawyer's life as his own. He would send pictures of women to posters and even tricked aggiehawg into giving him her info.

He is a psychopath. It is most certainly not above him to use this person you found as his own story and go very deep to cover the loose ends.

He is one of the greatest trolls of all time.

Well he likes acting like a lawyer since the real guy that actually owns both buildings also has a law degree and did corporate law in the healthcare industry.

I've seen this detail pointed out a couple times here and on the Outdoors thread. This one seems to be grasping at straws a bit. Lots of rich folks buy used cars, let someone else take the depreciation. I guess if you ball hard enough to have millions tied up in cars it may not make sense to do. But my grandpa is one who can afford whatever he wants, and at 92, decided he wanted a Bentley. He bought a used 2 year old one instead of new. My FIL hasn't bought anything but CPO in several years. It's just Toyota's and Lexus SUV's, not McLaren's or anything, but he can afford the new, just chooses not to.

I think there are plenty of issues that don't make sense in the OP's story, but the used Benz isn't one of them.

No, it is used AND currently being leased. Not owned. So you can't trace the tag to the actual owner [edit: lessee], just to the leasing co.

Anyone tried calling the medical supply place and verifying they still have a building in Dripping?

MFBUSA reminds me of a very unlikable kid I knew in high school who told us that he had an expensive triple turbo kit underneath the hood of his new to him Mazda 3. When we asked him to pop the hood to show us, he made up the excuse that the "turbos are hot and the moisture from the air will crack them" (super facepalm) so of course he couldn't.

Habitual liars always make up ridiculous excuses, which MFB is over and over again in this thread. I think it's a pretty solid outing.

The general story seems to be true, but not sure if it is being told first hand or by someone imitating Mr. Wester.

The building in Dripping Springs is owned by John Wester. He purchased in 2018. Whether it is used for a car collection is unknown.

The other warehouse referenced in the story is located at 6001 Mountain Shadows Dr. The appraisal district has it labeled "Personal Car Museum". That is also owned by John Wester. It does have car haulers and various cars. I drive by it every day and always see sports cars, etc outside. The second picture of the purple McLaren is taken from just outside the shop inside the fence.

That is all I got....

I tried to track that down last night, but never found a link.

On the surface, the actual dude has a pretty cool life. Served in USCG, graduated law school and became a corporate lawyer, owns 5 patents from his previous business, is CEO/president of several businesses, and has a great car collection. Hopefully he is not trapped in Barnes basement

There's been some continual confusion over the building in Dripping Springs. MBUSA said it was "to be" his race shop so that's not where the cars are stored. Yet in post number 11 he shows three Porsche GT3's in what is assumed to be the DS shop. His "Race Shop". He did not dispute that fact.

In fact later he said quote:

Quote:

The collection is not at the DS shop. DS is in its infancy. Long way to go on that. The collection in the shop in Barton Creek. I would have gladly shown any of you the collection, but the way most have acted on this thread it would be case by case decision.

The DS shop currently only has three Porsche's and two haulers along with a crap load of furniture from our previous house.
He has three Porsche's and some furniture at the DS shop.

Yet those three Porsche's have numbers and driver names on the doors. None of which use the Initials MB or USA, or any combination of those letters. Those cars look llike GT3 Cup cars to me. And they are numbered with vinyl graphics, but without any livery. They are not "race" cars. Most likely they are owned by a driving school. Two different cars in the photos have this low in front of the doors on both cars. Can anybody identify this logo?

Also, this is tenuous but if you look at the two different pics we have of the leased Benz it looks to me like one of those is an S550 and the other is an S450. It is really hard to tell in the grainy photo however.

so that's where I've seen those cars. that's Winding Road Racing - an Austin race maintenance/supplies shop. I have seen them at multiple COTA events. I am pretty sure I've seen them in their shop as well.

Yes, it is still owned by John Wester. See post above. The story being told is partly true. The question is whether it is being told first hand or if someone is pretending to be him with a few additional lies.

John Wester does own the building in Drip and Austin. The Austin one does have all sorts of cars. I see it every day. Not sure if the picture of the interior is true or not. I have never seen the doors open. But John Wester does appear to have a decent car collection for himself.

Is this the guy that has posted on several of the auto boards under the name StreetKing? Looking at his house on Google Maps, he has 2 garages and 1 kind of looks like the one in the background of several of the pics that poster has posted in the past.

Barnes has impersonated people before, and going as far as getting info through google, facebook, linkedin to make it appear hes the real person. This could be the case concerning Mr. Wester

The bolded portion above would match up with MBUSA's thread over on Politics about him being in the restaurant industry. However, it completely contradicts the LinkedIn profile below. If you watch the video at the above link, "John Wester" is clearly the same guy in the LinkedIn profile pic, but the 2 backgrounds don't match at all. "Japanese restauranteur" vs. lawyer in the medical field and founder of his own medial services company.

Interesting find! It could have been that Mr. Wester just invested in some japanese restaurants on the side with all of his extra money from what looks like a lucrative career in law and medical services, and he likes to talk about that more than his main career.

Does anyone really think at this point that this isn't Barnes just impersonating Mr. Wester? It fits Barnes MO to a T, and does someone as wealthy, busy and with such a big family (evident from the actual news video posted in your link) really have time to sit around and brag on these lowly boards about cars that may or not be his and having his kids walk in on him while having sex?
