The collection is not at the DS shop. DS is in its infancy. Long way to go on that. The collection in the shop in Barton Creek. I would have gladly shown any of you the collection, but the way most have acted on this thread it would be case by case decision.

The DS shop currently only has three Porsche's and two haulers along with a crap load of furniture from our previous house.

Diversification is the key. The retail and real estate has been my mainstay for 28 years. The hotel and restaurant are 8 and 6 years old respectively. The detailing thing started because the few people to do show quality work are pretty booked.and the high end market has exploded in Austin.

I guess it will also piss some off that I am an initial investor in COTA.

the building itself looks to me a solid match but the background is what appears more different

the google pic is dated jan 19, so it's not that much older. the buildings in the distance on the photo left side appear to not be there at all in barnes's picture and instead are just trees. that's the main thing that makes me hesitate.

I assumed where the photo with the S-class was taken from. Green lines are the assumed field of view for the camera. Blue lines represent what gets obscured by the building in question. Because the neighboring building is essentially at the rear of the main building, it's completely obscured.



I know, I spent way too much time on this. But, it's still the same building.

I'm not saying that this clears him of being a troll...

I've been on the fence but I think it's the same building. I think there is a significant difference in the angle of the 2 photos, plus the 360-degree distortion mentioned above.

The shrubbery is dead-on except for the one that was removed to add the driveway on the garage door. One additional thing I noticed is that there are markings on the two front columns that match where it looks like the parking signs used to be.

Doesn't clear him at all. It's not his building, though he claims to own it. It's not where any of the interior photos were taken, though he strongly implied (if not stated outright) that is where his cars are.

I hear ya. I just wonder if the 360-degree distortion is playing tricks. I think those trees may be obscured by the trailer in the Google street view pic. Also notice that you can't see any of the telephone poles in the Barnes pic... That may mean different building... Or it may signal the angle and distortion.

On the other hand, look closely at the trees to the right of the building. Their shapes and outcroppings appear to be very similar to my eye.
