There is an old joke that years ago a mechanic ran off with an engineers wife and ever since then engineers have been trying to get back at mechanics.

After starting the process of changing the plugs and coil packs on my ford, I am pretty convinced that the mechanic must have also nailed the daughter and mother of the ford engineer as he was leaving with his wife.

I might have to work on my dodge more often but at least it is easy to do.

Today things are built for operation, nothing is designed for easy maintenance anymore.

The Ford guy? Yeah, the mechanic took his dog and house too.

I damaged about half the clips on my boost before I figured out how they work. Very not intuitive. And very not easy to do in tights spots. Absolutely no need for a clip like that there. They don't come loose that easily. fortunately, the damaged ones were still useable.

Yall quit whining. When you have to replace injectors on a 6.0 diesel econoline van, then we'll talk. Or pull a 6.4 diesel out the front of an F-Series Ambulance (can't pull the cab on that one).

All i got. Haven't wrenched professionally on a Ford in 10years or anything in 5. I have put several water pumps in 2012-13 5.0 F150's. Had them all go out within weeks of each other

My take is that things are built to be easily assembled at the factory, and to Hades with end users.
