Will be needing to buy a larger vehicle in the next year or so to fit the kiddos. What is the autoboards recommendation for am suv with cabin chairs in the second row?

Trying to get an idea whats out there. Make sure im not forgetting something.

I was just looking at all the mid sized SUVs with captain's chairs.

We loved the Telluride. Came closest to buying an explorer.

Ended up with a 2018 Odyssey

I think you missed the joke, but yes, the Ascent would be at the top of my list of crossover SUVs cause I've had a Subie boner for almost 15 years.

Sequoia platinum comes with cabin chairs. Honestly we would rather have the full bench but it can be handy at times.

Never have driven, but enjoyed riding in the Ascent all across ohio with my gf's family.

Since nobody has recommended it yet, get the minivan. Pacifica, Sienna, Odyssey or Sedona whichever you prefer, they all excel at carrying kiddos.

Our Flex is great and offers a second row captain chair entry height similar to minivans

Explorer with captain's chairs in 2nd row with no center console. You can put car seats in the captains chairs and you can get to the 3rd row by walking in between them.

Availability and price. Just couldn't make it work. Maybe if there had been inventory out there, but we just weren't willing to pay sticker for one that was on order.

It was our #1 SUV by far until we decided minivan was the better answer.

Ultimately it worked out. We really like our odyssey and it will fit our needs better for 2 or 3 years.

We have a 2017 expedition and I removed the middle seat from the second row which creates captains seats.
Taking the middle seat out exposes 4 bolt holes in the floor but we have weather tech mats that cover the whole floor so you would never know.

My wife and I are looking at an expedition, and with two kids in car seats, wanted captains seats to use the 3rd row. May have to look into doing this.

Theyre shipping now, but many of them are going to those who have to be 'first on the block' types and will pay sticker plus. By Oct-December there will be plenty around.
