2018 F-150 - New tailgate assembly needed?

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I backed into a utility pole and now have 2 dents on the tailgate.

Based on the pics below, do you think I need a new tailgate assembly or are these dents repairable? Any B/CS body shop recommendations?

It's aluminum. Pretty sure you'll have to have it replaced.

You'd spend more trying to get that repaired than just replacing. My suggestion is to call around to junkyards, one of the nice things about F-150 in Texas is that you can find parts for them all over the place.

Leave the damage, it makes you look like you actually do work with your truck.

Does it have a camera or rear proximity sensors? Answer carefully because this could be a solid source of ribbing.

Leave the tailgate down and park it at Home Depot at 6 am for a few hours. A day laborer will steak it then you can file insurance.
