On the other hand the supercharged 5.0 in my F-150 is a premium gas guzzling sum *****. I average about 11.5 and get 14.5 at 75mph. I can't imagine how much fuel a supercharged 7.3L in a 3/4 ton or 1 ton truck is going to drink. The mpg gauge might go into the negative while towing.

I was checking the numbers yesterday, with the blower a single cab would be about 12.9 1/4 mile and crew cab short bed about 13.1 1/4 mile.

Drove one the other day, didn't feel that much different in get up and go than my F150 EcoBoost.

Probably my next truck engine. Would be fun to supercharge once outside warranty.

Anyone have a 7.3L gasser yet? I am buying a new truck in in the next few weeks and seriously considering the 7.3L over the 6.7L diesel. Looking for feedback from any owners.
