Key stuck in ignition

2016 Chevy Colorado. Just started this morning. After restarting the truck several time I was able to get it out. Just had to run an errand and now it's stuck good.

This an issue for the dealership?

Only time I had this happen is if there was pressure on the steering wheel like it was turned hard.

Whelp, I'm at the dealership waiting for a ride home (no loaners available). I'm told it's a fairly rare but known issue that the shifter isnt sending the signal through that the vehicle is in park.

Good news, I've got 7 more days under bumper to bumper warranty.

It looks like it's not relevant to your situation, but as said above, it's usually the steering wheel in a bind or the tilt wheel. Moving one or both usually frees it up.

I guess now I'll have to add putting it in and out of park to try to jar things loose.

Finally got a call from the dealership. Confirmed that the issue is in the shifter and they'll replace it tomorrow.
