Building a house on the NE side of Houston and we're about 30 days out from closing. Any recs on a company to do a epoxy coating on the garage floor? Considered DIY, but it's a four car and I'm not confident I could knock it out myself and be happy with the results. Would hate to skimp on something that I'll be staring at for the next 30 years.

Pay to have it done by someone that does it everyday. I just paid $1200 for 400sq ft and they ground the slab as oppose to the acid wash and it looks great.

I am in DFW though

One of my biggest regrets was not having ours done before we moved in. Bows it's a 3 car garage with all sorts of stuff in it and I don't want to bother with moving it all to have it done

Good he lives in North Richland Hills

Paul - +1 (817) 994-7194 he has a website but I cant find it. But super easy to deal with and he even added extra sand for non slick. Tell him Ben in Irving referred you, hes done mine and 3-4 for buddies

We just moved in but I rented a connex from Cool Box storage delivered and picked up for $250 and put all the crap in there.

Closed on the new house last week and the floor was done over the weekend. Couldn't be happier with the results! The guys at Epoxy Floors Texas were great. Would highly recommend!

Yup.

Advertising isnt cheap, but it seems like their reputation has been spread by word of mouth.

Went with Epoxy Floors Texas and they put this down this AM. I showed them RynoAg's photos. I went with a slightly less broadcast of the chips but same color.

This is a medium gray epoxy with a medium to heavy broadcast of domino flakes. If you want to see flakes only go with the full broadcast. If you want to see a little of the base color go with a heavy broadcast.

This was bumped at a good time.

Closing on a house in March with a 3-car, and I think I want to do this.

Do they do epoxy only, or do they also offer Polyurea?

Just make sure they sand it. Acid etching is OK but pros need to do the actual sanding. It isn't that difficult and it makes a world of difference.

Epoxy Floors Texas was at $3.75 a square foot. 400 sq ft 2 car at $1500

I'll second Stampede Coatings. We used them for our place in Traditions and are very pleased with the results.
Good to know they do work in Houston - may have them redo our garage floors here when it's time to sell.

In DFW area we used http://rhinosolutions3.com/. Only had it since we completed our build in October but so far we love it.

They use polyurea instead of epoxy. It is supposedly a lot more flexible therefor less susceptible to cracking and scratches.

My father ended up having them cover his screened in back porch. He lives near Sherman and they had no issues going north.
