Daughter in C-Stat calls and says car won't recognize key (fob).
She's dead in the water.
I leave work, Houston, and drive a spare to her and all is fine.
Dealership says "yeah, sometimes the fob just loses it's memory. it happens. drop off the car and the fob and for a $150 we will reprogram it for you."
Are you kidding me? What kind of POS answer is that?
All kinds of scenarios of her out on the road somewhere have gone through my mind. "It happens..."
Seems like BS to me.
Anyone else have this same scenario?
What's wrong with old fashioned keys?
