i have a 2016 Kia Sorento and the door ajar indicator on the dash says the door is open, but it is closed and locked. Any ideas from the auto board on how to trouble shoot? I have checked the latch and it seems to be fine.

Clean out the lock mechanism. Something like WD-40 sprayed in there will work, but may attract more dirt in the future.
